Americans Serena Williams teamed with Mardy Fish to beat the Serbian team of Novak Djokovic and Jelana Jankovic 7-6, 6-2 to win the 2008 Hopman Cup for the United States for the 5th time in Perth, Australia. Serena defeated Australian Alica Molik 6-2, 7-6(7) and Czech Lucie Safarova 6-0, 2-6, 7-5 in singles and won two mixed doubles matches (over Djokovic/Jankovic and Molik/Luczak).
